A resignation does not have to become a dispute.

There are two ways to leave a yacht. One closes a chapter. The other burns a bridge. Professionalism is not tested when everything is going well. It is tested when someone decides it is time to move on.

For crew, leaving well means giving proper notice, communicating openly, handing over responsibly and protecting your reputation. For Owners and Captains, one difficult departure should never change the way you welcome the next person aboard.
